The 5th edition of the Practical summer school 2016 - LabEx CheMISyst

Thematic : "SIMPLE BUT PRACTICAL MODELLING OF EXPERIMENTS FOR MOLECULAR SYSTEM DRIVEN BY WEAK LONG-RANGE INTERACTIONS".

Date & Place : Pôle chimie Balard / LabEx CheMISyst summer school to be held from July the 5th to 7th in Marcoule, ICSM building, room George Gamow.

Objective : The main activity is three hands-on computer sessions with the objective of learning how to use open standard software to calculate Limes. energies as well as scattering patterns of complex systems, using open software available to the community.

Registration open until june the 24th, 2016.

  • 12 places are available among scientists, PhD students and Post-PhD students laureates of masters and Valorisation projects.
  • For the 3 days-school, all the costs are covered by the LabEx CheMISyst, including the bus journeys from Montpellier and the Practical School location.
  • Participation during the three days of the Practical School is mandatory (no exceptions will be accepted).
  • In the beginning of the Practical School, each participant is welcome to give a 5' talk. The aim is to expose current research questions of the participants that may be solved by a simple general modelling.
  • Participants can bring their own laptop, but are responsible for installing software on their own computer.
  • PhD students will obtain credit from the doctoral school for attending this Summer School
